I have been a social worker for nearly a decade and have specialized in working with those with chronic mental illness. I enjoy working with individuals who are struggling to cope with major life changes including recent mental health diagnoses, relationship status or job change, adjusting to parenting, loss of autonomy due to aging or physical ailments, caregiver fatigue, transitioning, and prisoner re-entry.
I employ a humanistic and strengths-based approach. I utilize an eclectic modality which includes aspects from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy, Art Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy. I try to meet the client where they are at, both figuratively and literally. I offer therapy in a traditional setting as well as walk and talk, in-home, and community-based therapy.
