I have a passion for helping people work through life’s challenges, relationship problems, depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, and other distressing issues. I provide individual and family therapy for children and youth of all ages and their families. I have a direct, down- to- earth style, and a keen ability to integrate a variety of treatment methods that build upon her client’s strengths. I have experience providing counseling and crisis intervention for children and teens who have experienced trauma, have emotional regulation and behavioral concerns, school difficulties, depression, anxiety, ADHD, and aggressive or self-injurious behaviors.
I view therapy as a collaborative relationship between myself and all members of the families I work with. When working with parents and children, I place emphasis on helping parents discover their own expertise and develop an empathic understanding of their children’s behavior.
I use a blend of treatment approaches that take into consideration each client’s individual needs in order to find the best fit for the individual or family. I use a combination of evidenced-based approaches including play therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy.
