I am in my last semester as a graduate student in the Clinical Mental Health program at Oakland University! I have gained valuable experience during my time in practicum where I worked with adults of all ages. I am working on adapting my theoretical approach of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy using a person-centered, mindfulness approach. My goal is to increase insight and promote a healthy lifestyle while encouraging commitment to healthy, constructive activities that uphold your values or goals. I am experienced in multicultural therapy for adults with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, adjustment, phobias, ADHD, anger management, and relationship issues. I believe that change happens when the client is welcomed into a warm, trusting, and collaborative environment free from judgment and biases. Our lives consist of emotional, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual components that shape who we are and how we experience life. I strive to utilize all aspects of the human experience to help achieve goals and facilitate change. I encourage clients to seek healing in not only a clinical aspect but also a holistic one as well.
