Meet our Counselors
MEd, LPC, NCC, CAADC
I utilize a person-centered, trauma-informed approach and also incorporate cognitive-behavioral techniques and systems theory into the therapeutic process.
I use an integrative counseling approach to best fit each individual client’s needs, but focus heavily on person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
I believe that the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship between the therapist and client; therefore I aim to be nonjudgmental, open-minded, and authentic in the counseling relationship.
I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy, using elements from multiple evidence-based modalities based on what I think will best help the client, couple, or family to reach their goals.
Social Worker Intern
I am completing my master’s degree in the Interpersonal Practice in Integrated Health, Mental Health, and Substance Abuse Pathway at the University of Michigan School of Social Work.
I am completing my practicum and internship as part of the final stage of my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Walden University, a CACREP accredited university
LPC, CFT, CPLGRS
I believe the key to successful counseling involves a collaborative relationship between the counselor and client, built on honesty, trust, and acceptance.
Meet our Administration Staff
Hello! My name is Rachael H. and I am the Client Care Coordinator. Basically, that means I handle all of the scheduling for our counselors. I'm honored to be many people's first point of contact with our office and hope to leave everyone with a first impression of Deepwater that is warm and helpful. When I'm not in the office, I can usually be found playing with my cat, Kamala. I also really enjoy kpop, gaming, watching dramas, and reading. Thanks for checking us out and I look forward to helping you start your therapy journey!
James has been with Deepwater since 2019 working in various administrative roles including scheduling, office management and now in billing. He is currently in grad school to become a counselor. Outside of work and school, James enjoys hiking, playing guitar and visiting museums.
