Relationships and Sexuality

Being in an intimate relationship can be hard! Relationships don’t come with an instruction manual, and sometime we feel like we’re just flying by the seat of our pants. Even the strongest of relationships may be strained by a number of factors — financial stress, communication problems, parenting issues, unmet needs, infidelity, and more. Through counseling, you and your partner can learn how to communicate more effectively, explore how boundaries (or lack of boundaries) are impacting your relationship, repair and rebuild trust, resolve conflicts, get to know each other on a deeper and more meaningful level, and fulfill each other’s emotional, mental, physical, and social needs so that you can ultimately strengthen your relationship.

How Can We Help?

Your therapist will act as an impartial and nonjudgmental mediator, allowing you both to express your concerns, hurts, and needs in a safe and supportive environment. At Deepwater Counseling, we strongly believe that loving relationships come in all forms, and we all face many of the same universal issues, and so we welcome both traditional and nontraditional couples. If you and your partner feel like you’re caught up in the same negative patterns, the same viscous cycle, or the same old dance, please know that lots of couples sometimes feel this way and that help is available!
