Alize Morrow, Counseling Intern
I believe that every person has the ability to grow, heal, and make positive changes in their life. My approach is grounded in person-centered counseling, which means I work to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel understood and valued. I believe every client is unique, and I use interventions that best fit each person’s needs and goals.
I work with adults navigating anxiety, life transitions, relationship stress, identity shifts, and seasons that feel overwhelming or uncertain. I have a special interest in perinatal mental health and women’s issues, supporting individuals through pregnancy, postpartum, and the emotional adjustments that come with new roles and responsibilities. I also work with couples to strengthen communication, rebuild connection, and navigate challenges together. While much of my work focuses on women’s experiences, I welcome clients of all genders — individuals and couples alike — who are seeking support, insight, and meaningful change.
My style is warm, collaborative, and encouraging. I see counseling as a partnership where we work together to uncover strengths, navigate challenges, and create lasting change. Whether someone is facing a difficult life transition, relationship stress, anxiety, or patterns that feel hard to break, I am committed to walking alongside them with compassion and curiosity.
I am currently a counseling intern and master’s student at Central Michigan University, where I am completing my clinical training. I also bring experience from my background in special education and years of supporting individuals with emotional and behavioral challenges. These experiences have strengthened my passion for helping people build resilience, self-understanding, and confidence in their ability to grow.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy slowing down and finding balance. In my free time, you can usually find me with a good book and a cup of coffee or spending time with my family.
