Brian Antrobius, LPC

Assistant Director

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and it is my mission to assist each individual with whom I have the opportunity to work with to help develop the skills, insight, and confidence to courageously become the person they want personally and professionally. As counseling is a strength-based discipline, I believe in helping people identify strengths they have to help develop coping skills to manage distress and live lives they find satisfying. Whether the emphasis for our work is symptom reduction, skill development, or changes to thinking and behaving, I provide all individuals a safe, supportive, judgement-free, and empowering environment to help foster personal growth. I have worked in a variety of settings and with people from diverse backgrounds, and I put all my experiences and knowledge to work helping each person and couple find ways forward that reflect their personal goals.

My approach is client-centered, insight-oriented, trauma-informed, and I have an eclectic theoretical orientation that utilizes strategies from a variety of theoretical orientations to best work to meet an individual’s needs, with some being cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, existential, and systems-oriented. Areas of experience I have include depression, anxiety, guilt and shame, trauma, substance use and addiction, relationship and couple’s issues, grief and loss, adjusting to new situations, as well as anger management.
